01/20/2009 - Edinburgh, Scotland (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Hibernian goalkeeper David Grof has been handed a one-week trial with English Premier League club West Bromwich.

The 19-year-old has made just one appearance for the Easter Road club to date and is fourth-choice shot-stopper following the recent arrival of Grzegorz Szamotulski.

Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen told The Scotsman: "David has gone to train with West Brom this week and it is a good opportunity for him. We will see how he copes with it, the different surroundings and a different group of players.

"I don't think that David is ready for the first team at the moment, but there is no doubt that he is a talented young goalkeeper and a very good prospect.

"I didn't want to stand in his way because he is an ambitious boy. He wants to push himself and that is a good thing."
